Opening hours & fees
Sessions, fees, and funded childcare details can change from term to term. We keep families informed directly — please treat the information below as a guide and contact us for the latest timetable and rates.
Opening Hours
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm, all year round apart from bank holidays and one week between Christmas and New Year. If your booking pattern falls on a bank holiday, fees remain payable as normal.
Annual fee break
Families attending all year round are entitled to a 2-week (10-day) fee break during January to November, worked out pro rata according to the number of days attended per week — or the allowance can be used against bank holidays instead. A minimum of four weeks' written notice, acknowledged by nursery management, is required to action a fee break; marking a holiday on the Famly app does not count as notice. One fee break per calendar year; unused days cannot be carried over. Full details are in our Parental Leave & Fees Policy and the Parent Pack.
Funded childcare & government support
Childcare Offer for Wales
Working parents of 3–4 year olds may be entitled to 30 hours per week of combined early education and childcare, funded by the Welsh Government. This includes a minimum of 10 hours of early education plus up to 20 hours of additional childcare during term time. We can help you apply — just ask our team.
Flying Start
Bijou is a registered Flying Start provider. Flying Start offers free part-time quality childcare for eligible 2–3 year olds. Eligibility is determined by your postcode area. Contact us to find out if you qualify.
Foundation Phase Nursery Education
We deliver funded Foundation Phase nursery education sessions for children in the term after their third birthday. These sessions are available during term time and are funded by the Local Authority.
